Indications
Brain DHA contains docosahexaenoic acid (DHA), sustainably sourced from microalgae Schizochytrium sp. to support brain/central nervous system development and brain function in children.
Additionally, DHA helps maintain healthy eye development, healthy vision development and supports healthy eyesight, vision and eye function in children.
Directions of use
Children aged 12 – 24 months, 1 capsule: Cut the soft gel and squeeze into your child’s mouth or onto food.
Children aged 2 – 4 years, 2 capsules: Cut the soft gel and squeeze into your child’s mouth or onto food.
Children aged 5 – 13 + years, 2 capsules: Entire capsule is chewable and suitable to be eaten, only to be used under adult supervision.
Do not swallow whole.

What is microalgae?
Microalgae are tiny, single-celled plants that live in freshwater and marine environments. 🌿
They’re the original source of omega-3 fatty acids (like DHA and EPA) — the same nutrients found in fish. Fish only contain omega-3 because they eat microalgae, so when we source DHA directly from microalgae, we skip the fish entirely.
Microalgae are sustainably grown in controlled, clean environments, meaning:
- No exposure to ocean contaminants (like mercury or microplastics)
- 100% plant-based and vegan
- Environmentally friendly — no impact on marine ecosystems
In supplements, microalgae DHA offers all the brain, eye, and nervous system benefits of traditional fish oil, but in a pure, sustainable, and ethical form.
Where is your microalgae sourced from?
Our DHA is sustainably grown microalgae from Norway. Its the same natural source where fish get their omega-3s — just without the fish. Cultivated in controlled, clean environments, our algae oil is vegan, non-GMO, and free tested for contaminates like plastics and heavy metals.
Unlike fish oil, our microalgae DHA is directly sourced from the original plant-based producer of omega-3s, offering a pure, sustainable, and environmentally responsible alternative that supports brain, eye, and nervous system development.
Is the oil extracted with hexane?
No, we use a hexane-free extraction method.
What are the other ingredients or excipients?
We’re meticulous about ingredient quality — what’s left out matters just as much as what’s in. Unlike many supplement companies, we’re fully transparent about our ‘other ingredients,’ because every component counts.
Other ingredients:

Is it seed oil free?
Unlike many fish oils and omega-3 supplements that are standardised or diluted with seed oils, I’m Nutrients Brain DHA is made purely from sustainably grown microalgae— the original source of DHA.

What does it taste like?
